Storytelling and world-building for brands, businesses and artists.
MA Ethnographic & Documentary Film, University College London (Distinction)
I’m Cazz, a self-shooting producer/director specialising in documentary and commercial film & photography.
In my documentary work I focus on human stories — particularly subcultures, outsiders and communities. Coming from a background in political and social sciences at the London School of Economics and University of Bristol, I developed a strong interest in how systems, inequality, and culture shape everyday experience. I went on to graduate with a Master’s degree in Ethnographic & Documentary Film at University College London, where I developed my approach to observational storytelling, character-led narratives, and ethical filmmaking. I’m drawn to the weird and wonderful - people living alternative lifestyles, forming unlikely communities, or finding resilience in challenging circumstances. Before working independently, I created short-form narrative and documentary content for non-profit organisations, developing a strong foundation in telling sensitive, real-world stories with care and integrity.
In my commercial work, I collaborate with brands, organisations, and individuals to blend documentary style with an editorial feel. My commercial projects span branded content, short-form documentaries, and campaign films. I develop content strategy grounded in a deep understanding of each brand’s identity and vision. I’m particularly drawn to the process of world-building—working closely with clients to shape a distinct visual landscape and recognisable aesthetic alongside this strategy. My style leans toward the vivid and vintage-inspired, influenced by iconic filmmakers and photographers such as Hype Williams and Petra Collins.
